The hot, ultra-thin face of high-strength SP-700 forged titanium creates the maximum USGA legal "spring-like" effect for explosive distance. The large 303cc titanium club head delivers maximum power, while the patented Tight Lies® "upside-down" design increases the effective hitting area for greater forgiveness on off-center hits. The heel-weighted soleplate brings the center of gravity closer to the heel to help you square the clubface at impact for consistently straighter shots. The mass properties of the club head (precisely located center of gravity, optimal weight, and high moment of inertia) produce a higher launch angle and lower back spin - ideal launch conditions for maximum carry and greater total distance. The Tight Lies ST Driver head combined with the revolutionary BiMatrx shaft from True Temper work together to produce a more consistent shot placement on the face tee shot after tee shot.  A specially tapered steel tip reduces shaft torque up to 55% below that of a regular graphite shaft tip to keep the clubface more square at impact, producing consistently straighter shots.
